PES has been one of the front runners in the setting up and management of Urban Health Centres (UHCs) in the state of Telangana (Erstwhile AP). The UGCs were set up as a part of the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) which was inturn a part of the National Health Mission introduced by Government of India in 2005. For over 10 years PES has set up UHCs and dispensed medical care through them in Hyderabad to 54,826 (14,773 men, 34,364 women and 5,689 children) beneficiaries
