Sakhi – One Stop Centre (Central Government Sponsored Hotline Service Centre aimed at providing counselling, medical care, police protection, temporary sanctuary and legal aid to women victims who are socially marginalized)

PES has been running a Ministry of Women & Child Development Sponsored Hotline Service since 2019. The purpose of this hotline is to provide immediate and relevant aid to women seeking support and assistance. The types of aid provided through Sakhi are Medical Care – Physical & Psychological, Paramedical Support, Legal Aid, Safety through Temporary Sanctuary and Police Protection and so on. During the sanctuary, they are provided with food, shelter and security, along with periodic counselling. Sakhi’s principal objective is to provide a responsive and timely support to women seeking aid. A wide range of issues have been tackled through Sakhi ranging from domestic violence, trafficking to child marriages and social discriminations and so on
