Chandrugonda Bamboo Cluster Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI)

Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) is a Cluster development scheme under Ministry of Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India. The scheme provides support for Cluster Formation, Development, Skill upgradation, and setting up of Value added processing units to help the artisans of traditional industries to come together and form an organisation through which they can conduct business activity to maximize their earnings and realize higher values through product modification and transformation

PES is currently executing this project under the SFURTI scheme with the Chandrugonda Bamboo Cluster from Badhradri Kotthagudem District of Telangana. The aim of the project is to form the cluster and install a Common Facility Center (CFC) in which Bamboo processing machinery shall be set up to make and manufacture value added Bamboo Products that can be sold through the business efforts of the Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO)/Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV)

PES is the Implementing Agency (IA) for this project while Rainbow Bamboo Academy is the Technical Agency (TA) and National Institute of Medium & Small Enterprise (NiMSME) is the Nodal Agency (NA)

  • Soft Interventions – Product Training, Process Training, Administrative Training, Life Skill, Coaching, Exposure Visit
  • Hard Interventions – Construction of CFC, Machinery & Plants Setup, Tools Purchases
  • Business Administration – Organisational Setup, Management, Accounting
  • Strategic Interventions – Channel Integration, Marketing Strategies - Product Development & Market Development

PES is the Implementing Agency (IA) for this project while Rainbow Bamboo Academy is the Technical Agency (TA) and National Institute of Medium & Small Enterprise (NiMSME) is the Nodal Agency (NA). The Chandrugonda Bamboo Cluster consists of 798 members from 5 villages and the project impacts a total of 4000 individuals through its interventions
