Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty
The sustainable livelihood project was initiated by Employment Generation and Marketing Mission (EGMM) and later taken over by the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), a state government initiative. The project main focus was to select artisans of Zari, Zardosi skills and form SHGs to train them and upskill them and form Producer Organisation and create a business entity through channel integration and business development
The project also included mobilizing loans towards working capital and machinery for individual artisans through the financial institution Streenidhi to meet the upskilling and production requirements of the project
PES was the Project Facilitation Agency (PFA) for the project that was implemented in 3 villages in the Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medak districts
