Anganwadi, SHGs, Handicrafts & Counselling
Anganwadi is an initiative set up by the Ministry of Women & Child Development as a part of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). PES has executed this programme for 10 years in the Karimnagar District of Telangana.
PES was a principal training provider for the Anganwadi workers in the district. The Subject Matter covered under the Training of Trainers (TOT) programme conducted through the scheme are Child care, Pre-natal care & Infant care. The training programmes were a fully residential programmes spread over 7-10 days. Over the 10 years that PES executed Anganwadi Training, PES had covered 90% of the district Anganwadi workers

PES has been one of the front runners in Telangana in the Cluster Development initiatives. Over the last 20 years PES has mobilized and helped manage 410 women SHGs benefitting 6,000 women members of these groups. These initiatives were done under various programmes and schemes including a few CSR tie-ins. Bodies such as Employment Generation & Marketing Mission (EGMM), Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) and corporates such as National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) were partnered with to execute these programmes
The principal focus of these initiatives was Community mobilization, Formation of SHGs or Producer Cooperatives, Training the artisans or members, Helping the with Vertical Integration, Brand Building, Marketing, Logistics and Business Administration

PES also has been a major proponent of women handicrafts in the state of Telangana. Over the last 10 years PES has helped more than 8000 women in realizing their potential in the field of making and showcasing their talent handicrafts. The principal skills that were a part of PES women handicraft scope were Pottery, Painting and Fashion Designing.
PES has been able to conduct these programmes with Public and Private partnerships, although most of these programmes were done in collaboration with Ministry of Textiles through their Ambedkar Hastship Vikas Yojana (AHVY) Scheme. Over the last decade PES has been able to conduct 410 exhibitions to showcase and market the products of the women artists and artisans

As a part of the initiatives for women development by the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, PES has collaborated with Central Social Welfare Board, Department of Women, Child, Disabled and Senior Citizens to set up Urban Health Centers and Family Counselling centers in the urban and rural areas of Rangareddy and Karimnagar districts respectively.
The principal purpose of these center was to provide medical aid and psychological counselling to individuals and families to promote a safe and healthy environment for families and women in particular. Over the last 10 years PES has been able to handle 450 cases through its Family Counselling programme with a success rate of 90%
